Happy Belated Halloween!

Howdy Lobsters! So! How were your halloweens? Lots of costumes, candy, and something else that starts with c?

Sofia has made a season out of what is supposedly a one day event. She attended three halloween parties and a parade and she had a different costume for each one.

She was [as afore mentioned in the ramping up for halloween post] a ballerina:

This was party number one, Sofia's play group of similar aged babies. I walked into the room to find about thirty miniature bears, monkeys, and my favorite - a lobster with accompanying pot. But because no one knew about the air conditioning option, the room got very hot very fast. By the end of the party, all you could see was a sea of naked babies crawling all around.

Secondly, for a friend's halloween party, Sofia dressed up as an angel:

Manny's math department held a pumpkin carving party, and Sofia came dressed like this:

A pumpkin carrying a teddy bear, dressed as a pumpkin, a.k.a. "pumpy." She was such a hit that she made the front page of the college paper.

Lastly, Sofia + angel costume + snowy halloween = snow angel.

Happy Halloween, Lobsters! Emily here. Eiley wasn't quite as festive as Miss Sofia, but she did have a delightful fairy costume. We already had a fairy tutu from her Aunt Tab, and I found wings at the dollar store.
She came up with the cute little imp smile on her own.
She wore this to a party last night, but she was a rather grumpy fairy, so the wings came off quickly. Alas. We'll try a little harder on the costume next year.

How did you have fun with this holiday, Lobsters?

  1. They are adorable! So many fun costumes! :-) We went to a festival at church with Emily dressed as a ladybug. She got to pet some animals at the petting zoo, "go bowling" and "kick" a soccer ball to win mommy and daddy a few pieces of candy.
